Now I will like to share a few tips on how to maintain your cotton kurti once you have bought them.
- Before washing cotton kurti for the first time, soak it for 10-15 minutes in a bucket of water mixed with rock salt. This will ensure that the colour latches on to the saree and will prevent from bleeding colour during subsequent washes.
- Always use a mild detergent to wash a cotton kurti. Do not wring it instead hang it over a water-tap and allow the excess water to drain off.
- Do not hang the kurti to dry in an open area where the sun rays directly hit it will cause the colour to fade and can also affect the fabric.
- Store the kurta is an airy cupboard.
